About Us

We are a group of passionate and hard-working individuals who together form a strong clean energy technology development team. The group members love the earth and its climate so much, and they want future generations to enjoy their lives within great environment. Accordingly, the team has been committed to innovating environmentally friendly CO2 capture and conversion technologies. Each member is excited to have the opportunity to participate in the Carbon XPRIZE competition. The team is eager to demonstrate its new CO2 capture and conversion technologies and industrialize them as soon as possible. The team is motivated to realize the dream of “carbon, dependable but fully controllable and economically recyclable”.

Tech Information

The team is using a transformational catalyst to significantly reduce CO2 capture (sorption and desorption) energy consumption and thus the cost. Then, the captured CO2 is converted into fuels and chemicals by using a regenerable material and H2O. Material regeneration is realized by using renewable resources through a new looping process.

About Team Leader

Dr. Fan is a School of Energy Resources Professor in the Depts. of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at University of Wyoming, and Adjunct Professor in the School of Civil and Environment at Georgia Institute of Technology). As a PI and Co-PI, he has led various projects in the areas of chemical and clean energy production, and environmental protection, funded by NSF, DOE, EPA, USGS, NEDO, and others. He has more than 250 publications. Dr. Fan has served as associate editors and editorial board members for a number of journals. Dr. Fan is a National Coal Council Committee member appointed by the U.S. DOE Secretary Dr. Ernest Moniz.
